This weekend we were at the Wägitalersee to celebrate my father’s birthday. It was a very nice day, the sun was shining, we catched some fish, had some nice grilled meat – what else do you need?

This weekend the “Zürifäscht” took place in Zurich. It’s the the biggest Volksfest of Switzerland and takes places every three years. It had a bit more than 2 million visitors. Have a look at some impressions:

Ever wanted to create some nice vector graphics? Don’t want to spend money to buy “CorelDraw” or “Xara Xtreme”. I suggest to take a look at “Inkscape”. It’s free, it’s opensource, it’s fast, easy to use, good looking and much more.
The program also supports various languages (with auto detection) and is avaiable for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. You can get the latest version on the offcial homepage: http://www.inkscape.org
There you’ll also find some tutorials for beginners and some more example graphics.

I have been playing arround a bit with Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and Sony Vegas7 (two great video editing tools) and edited some clips. Here is an example where I added glow and light effects. I really like the result (and I hope I am not the only one):

I always thought that the todays youth (yes, I belong to it ) is propably the worst, dumbest, laziest in history. Well you know what I mean, you always hear such stuff. But today I read the following quote:
“Children today are tyrants. They contradict their parents, gobble their food, and tyrannize their teachers.”
